New York City! Part 1 ;)

Over a week ago I returned home from New York.

I was there for a national dance competition! I got all gold awards, except for one dance.  Tango got silver, which is weird because the judges seem to like that one best!

We arrived in New York two weeks ago, from today.  We rode a bus all the way there! It was a long bus ride, but my three best friends were on the buses, so I was fine.  (On the first bus Bee, and I found infomation on our favorite artist, but that's another story :)

I'm going to type this as a "diary"...

Day 1:
We arrived in New York, the streets are so crowded! People, street venders, cabs! Everywhere! Tonight we went to "The Jekyll & Hyde club" for dinner.  A horror themed resturant.  My kind of place :)  It was fun, plus we had to sing-a-long with a Vampire! :P I rode in a Taxi for the first time in my life! It was quite interesting :)

Day 2:
Ugh, I got up early, now I'm going to bed late.  The going to bed late thing is normal, but I can't handle being up at 7AM! Too bad.  This morning we had classes at a dance studio in New York.  From 10AM, until around 3PM, I think... I don't know, they were long.  I didn't really like those classes very much.  Afterwards we went to Times Square, to the giant Toys R Us, which is funny, because the competition team had mostly teens in New York.  There's a ferris wheel inside the Toys R Us, a 70 ft. tall one I was told.  After Toys R Us a small group went to M&M World, and the Hershey Factory.  I don't like M&M's but even I had to admit that the Hershey factory was nothing compared to M&M world!

Day 3:
AHHH!!! This morning we got up, got breakfast, and went to A FERRY (We took a subway there, and I love trains!).  A.K.A. BOAT! I hate boats! And the ride to Staten Island was awful! I wanted to stay with the team, so I sat down outside, with everybody hanging over the edge, then most people went inside, but I couldn't move to follow! I litterally COULD NOT MOVE! We got to Staten island, and got on the next ferry (I was inside on that one, so it wasn't as bad), and went back to the city.  We walked to Ground Zero, it was pretty cool.  Then we had more dance classes.  My Mom, Sister, Ris, her Grandma, and I took the subway to the dance studio, we were the second ones there! Some other people had decided not to go with us because they were afraid of being late.  Later we went to see the broadway show "Anything Goes".  It was amazing, AND we got autographs from some of the cast members.  :)

Lots

Lots has happened.

Cinderella, came and went.  It went well! Though the ceiling in the theater came down the night before the last two shows!

I got my braces off two days ago! Feels really, weird.  I don't really like my retainer, but I don't have much choice...

Another competition happened! The scores were:
Lyric Solo (TS) - Gold
Lyric Duo (GD) - Gold
Lyric Trio (W) - High Silver
Tap Duo (Orange.  The new one! This was the first time doing it) - Gold, and 5th place overall duos of our category, and agelevel that day!
Tap Duo (Stray Cat) - Gold
Lyric Group (KHO) - Gold
Ballet Group (Celtic) - High Silver
Tap group (Tango) - Gold!
TS was probably the best, or it was my favorite preformance by me.

Today, and Yesterday was my second dance competition of the year! These are the awards I got(In order of when I did them :P):

Saturday:
Lyrical Quartet: Gold
Lyrical Solo: Silver
Lyrical Trio: Silver
Lyrical Duo: Silver

Sunday:
Tap Group: Silver
Tap Duo: HIGH GOLD! (Highest score of the weekend for me!) And: "Perfectly Precise" special award!
Ballet Group: Gold

Woah.......

So much for me trying to post every day in 2011! At least in Janury, because with competitions, and recitals, and dance classes, and music classes, and stuff I wouldn't be able to post EVERYDAY..... Oh well.  But I've missed a few days now... Mostly because I've been busy.  Here is another AMAZING, MUST READ POST!

Animals: My fish scared me a few days ago, I thought he was dead! But he's swimming around behind me right now, so I'm good. ;)
Ballet: I'm doing three ballet classes this year encluding pointe!
BANANA: BaNaNa!
Books: I like books!! Later I will count my books, and post the number on this blog! I know I own over 222 books.  :)
Comic: I'm only interested in Zombie, and Vampire comics!
Dance: I'm doing a lot of dance this year! Three ballet classes, two jazz classes, one musical theater class, one tap class, and I'm on my dance school's competition team! I do about eleven and a half hours of dance every week.
Games: I am currently interested in only one game, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, though I hate the Harry Potter books.  Actually not true, I liked 1-4.  :D
Gardening: It's winter-time now, there are no gardens....
Holidays: I'm going to post a knitting challenge on Knit and Adventure soon! It's a Valentine's day challenge <3
Knitting: See above. XD
Kreature World: Kreature World awaits.......... Now on Kreature World, anybody between the ages of 12 and 15 are Zerinas! (Or if your ceramony goes badly Zarins, but that's another story!) So I am a Zerina! :3
Music: I have figured out what genre of music I like, it's not punk rock like I thought! It's Punk pop!
Pets: I have a lot of pets! We are also pet-sitting my older sister's rabbit, Jay.  Yup, we gave her this rabbit...
Poems: This poem is called Glittering Nights:

Dew drops form and then they freeze,

On this night, on the cool winter ground.

The stars come out, their shapes are keys,

As they glitter in the night, all around.

The full moon rises, above the sea,

It's shining face, just visable in the clouds.

The water shines bright, just for me.

As I walk through the silent woods, without sounds,

Rolling hills in the distance, to far to see,

As I think of the nights, that once were here,

Yup, I wrote this poem.  It takes pure skill to rhyme "clouds" and "sounds" :)

Sledders: Maya is a dog.  From Sledders.  Gosh I haven't written sledders in forever!
The Powers: I'm trying to finish The Powers before the end of the year, or before the end of May, hopefully the second, but if not then I'll make it before Halloween.  :)
The Rodents: The Rodents is coming along O.K.  I mean, it could be better......
Writing: This whole post was written, by meeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Keet!! *v* <------birdie.

By the way, I do realize this post does not have every label on it.  Because blogger apparently has this rule thingy, and each post can only have 20 labels! Isn't that messed up?!  Oh well! Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase comment! p.q  q.p

I have almost posted 50 times on this blog!!!!! :D  Maybe I should've saved my last post for my 50th post...... :\ to late now! Oh well I'll think of something to make my 50th post about! Probably about Halloween, and the busy day before! Well I just wanted to find something to post about! :)  So that's it!

How I won Ballet Wars............ well, ALMOST won >_>

Yes, I have played a game called Ballet Wars.  It's a......... Wait for it............... Wait for it................ BALLET GAME!!! :O Amazing isn't it?! Anyway....... I didn't actually win, BUT I won my team 3 WHOLE POINTS!!!!!!!!! Because I knew the word for "Fish" in french :o ISN'T THAT AWESOME?!?!?! I have to show my French teacher this post now :3 I actually knew more names than that, BUT my team wouldn't listen -.- Well, next time they'll know better, won't they?  I could've won us more points IF they had listened.  I won my team the game once..... Because I had learned a bunch of new ballet moves that summer, and I even knew the names :) (a different time)  Ok, I guess that's enough :p
